Assistant Senior Patrol Leader
The Assistant Senior Patrol Leader is the second highest youth leadership position in the troop, working closely with the Senior Patrol Leader to help the troop move forward. The ASPL acts as the SPL in the absence of the SPL or when called upon, and provides leadership to other youth leaders in the troop.

- Appointed by the Senior Patrol Leader, with approval of the Scoutmaster

- Required Attendance
- 80% of all troop meetings, PLC meetings, outings, fundraisers, and service projects. If your attendance is below the standard, you can be removed from office and/or lose credit.
Responsibilities
- Help the senior patrol leader lead meetings and activities
- Run the troop in the absence of the senior patrol leader
- Help train and supervise the troop scribe, quartermaster, instructor, librarian, historian, webmaster, chaplain aide, and OA representative
- Serve as a member of the patrol leaders' council
- Lend a hand controlling the patrols and building patrol spirit
- Live by the Scout Oath and Law
- Set a good example by showing Scout spirit and wearing the uniform correctly
